The Change You Seek Starts With You

We live in a world obsessed with fixing the external. Systems. Structures. Politics. Culture. We point fingers, demand reform, and expect the world to evolve. But rarely do we ask the harder question:

What am I doing to evolve myself?

I believe changing the world starts with focusing on helping yourself first. That begins with self-awareness. Learning to pause when you’re triggered. To reflect instead of react. To understand where those emotional responses really come from. When we look inward and become aware of our inner world, we create space for healing. And healing within creates harmony without.

John Mayer once wrote, “Love is a Verb.” That love has to begin with the self. Because if you can love yourself — if you can face your own patterns, unpack your pain, and hold grace for your past — you’ll naturally show up with more capacity to love and support others.

That’s where fashion, for me, becomes more than fabric. Style becomes a form of presence. It’s not just about getting dressed. It’s about how you show up. There’s no better feeling than putting together an outfit that feels right. Not because it turns heads, but because it aligns with who you are.

I’ve had moments where I stared in the mirror and felt disconnected. Like I was wearing someone else’s expectations. But when it’s right, you just know. You feel it in your posture, your breath, your ease. You’re not trying to be anything. You just are. That’s what I mean when I say confidence comes from within. That’s what presence feels like.

Clothes carry energy. But more than that, they carry your energy. They either amplify it or dim it. If a garment helps you feel grounded, bold, soft, expressive — whatever you need that day — it becomes a companion in your process. The right piece doesn’t just complement your body. It gives your spirit permission to speak.

That’s how I approach design with REVERN. Every decision has a pulse. Every texture, every stitch, every symbol is chosen with care. Because I know that someone out there will use this piece as a tool. A mirror. A layer of truth.

When I’m creating, I start from the inside. What do I need to say? What needs to exist in the world that doesn’t yet? If I design from a place of performance, it’s hollow. If I design from a place of listening — to myself, to what I’ve healed, to what I’ve learned — then what I create can carry real weight for others too.

We are all interconnected. That’s what REVERN exists to reflect. Clothing alone won’t change the world. But presence can. And when our clothing is infused with that presence—through intention, story, and soul—it becomes a quiet revolution of its own.

Because when you shift, everything around you shifts too.

And that’s where the real revolution begins.

I used to think presence was about being noticed. Now I know it’s about being remembered.

Not for the noise you made, but the stillness you embodied.

Not for how loud you spoke, but for the frequency you held.

Presence doesn’t ask for attention. It invites recognition.

So if you’re looking to change the world, Start by changing your relationship with yourself.

Dress with intention. Live with awareness. Speak from truth.

And let the energy you carry be louder than anything you wear.
